Middlesbrough Transporter Bridge

 

Opening in 1911 the Middlesbrough Tranporter Bridge is now over 100 years old and it's landmark status makes the bridge an instantly recognisable feature of Northern England.  The bridge is still in working order and continues to transport passengers six days a week.
